Returning a gift
I tried to return a gift that was sent to us from Hibbetts.com. We don't have a store in the area and apparently they are unable to return the item without notifying the gift giver as well as CREDITING back the amount to the gift giver's credit card. They cannot issue a store credit/gift card. I wanted to exchange the item for something else.
Now I am stuck with an item I cannot use.
DO NOT SHOP HERE ... bad customer service/ return policy. They quote
"they make returns easy" on their packing slip. Apparently, so easy because they don't happen. How can a business have an online presence without dealing with online ordering scenarios?

Preferred solution: Allow me to return the item for store credit without notifying the gift giver.

A horrible one
Worst and saddest online experience I've ever had I ordered these red shoes my son just had to have after failing twice at getting them through these drawings I had given up. A friend of mine had suggested this store and I thought to give it a try.
So to my surprise I was able to order the shoes and was estatic that my son would be getting them. A week or so goes by and by this time I'm nervous cause Xmas is in a few days I hadn't heard anything about the shoes. I called hibbets and the recording says delivered??????? Where and when I went bizzurk they claim to had delivered the shoes on my front porch which we live in town homes and my porch is in the wide open...
first off why would you deliver a package at Xmas time to a porch and it's not that of a private home????
Second where is the signature??? I called they stated someone would get back with me in 24 hrs 4 days later I still hear nothing I called again a refund is supposed to be issued 3 days later still nothing I work extremely to hard to just give money away I am beyon upset and would like to know the next step I believe I shall call the bank and dispute it for fraud idk Oh and I also wrote a review and they told me it wasn't allowed wow what a company

Employee would not exchange shoes
Had to call customer service hot line in order to exchange a pair of un-worn wrong size shoes in the Beaumont Texas avenue A location.Employee name Deja continue to call me a liar as I told her that the shoes had never been worn and that we just need to exchange them for the right size. She said these shoes can not be excepted back into there inventory because they have been worn.
I had her call her boss who I think she called him Cliff however this man who was suppose to be the manager would not even talk to me or even ask for a picture of the shoes. He told the young lady to give me the customer service number and that it had nothing to do with him and if it did then he would call me. So I purchase the right size and left with a pair of shoes my foster child could not wear however after sending in pictures and talking to Customer service I was sent into the Port Arthur location to return the shoes. This could have easily been handled at the Hibbett store location I drove fifteen minutes to because I research where to find the size I needed but instead I had to drive another twenty minutes to return the shoes for a store credit and then return the ones I purchased with my own funds just to turn around and repurchase using the store credit.
. This was so extremely unessarry and should have not gone the route it did. Customer satisfaction is the goal of most companies but it’s the idiots that they employ that gives customers a bad taste. I guess they feel that everyone is deceitful or running a scam.
I just wanted the child to have a pair of shoes that the bilogical parent or grandparent had purchase.
The shoes were never worn and still in the condition that I received them. Totally un called for BS.

I ordered my son a pair of Jordan’s on December 9th. I went to check the UPS tracking to see when my sons shoes would be delivered; by the way this was the only thing he really wanted for Christmas.
I called on December 18 into customer service to find out what was going on. I was told that if my sons shoes had not arrived by December 21, they would reship and overnight the shoes. Well, today is the 21, and still no shoes, so I called to have the shoes reship. And to my surprise I find out by this rude gentleman named Michael that “Nope, that’s not our policy, I don’t know why they told you that but we dont reship”.
Well, I asked to speak with an supervisor and he stated the same thing and he would have to refund my money and he stated to me “Oh, by the way there are no more for you to buy because we are sold out”! What a great way to be treated when you all have screwed up. Never again will I shop here again.
Terrible service. I guess my son will not have a Merry Christmas!

HORRIBLE ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I ordered $167 worth of merchandise on cyber Monday. Each item was shipped and received on different dates.
Not that big of a deal. They put a hold on the money at my bank and as the items were shipped they charged me for the merchandise and within 3-4 business days they told me the hold would be released. They said it was my bank not them. I order everything online and never have I had a pre hold on an item and then charged as everything shipped separately from different stores.
Everything but 2 items were the wrong size. Thank goodness there’s a store nearby so I could return the items because who knows how horrifying that would be. I’ve called 5 different times over a 4 week period. Not once was there a surperviser available to speak with.
They told me within 48 hours I would get a call back. I still haven’t received a call back. Not only that but I’ve been charged $220 and I have yet to get a refund for the over charge.
The customer service rep keeps telling me that is my banks fault as well. I will NEVER EVER order online from Hibbett Sports again.

How can a public business such as Hibbets get by with treating customers like this .Sounds like the better business needs to shut them DOWN
The BBB has ZERO authority to shut down any business. They are a pay for a grade business.
It only costs $250 and ANYONE can have an “A” grade.
They can’t get your money back because they have no power to do so. They will always side with the business against the consumer.
